What is E-Commerce?

E-Commerce is short for Electronic Commerce, and defines the nature of online commerce.  Any setup or transaction that is executed online would be referred to as electronic commerce.  E-Commerce gained traction during the tech boom of the 1990's, and has impacted the bottom line of traditional brick and mortar stores ever since.  It has also allowed businesses without office space to sell their products online to a wide audience.  Check out the sections below for more detail:
