Error: Unable to find out which user owns the parked domain example.com

Unable to find out which user owns the parked domain example.com

You're probably seeing this because you are trying to unpark a domain via WHM (Web Host Manager). Here's how to re-associate a username with the parked domain, which will let you delete it:

  • Log in to your Cpanel or admin account and click "Addon Domains." From there, try adding the domain you just parked (fill in anything for directory and password).
  • This should result in the following error:

Error from park wrapper: example.com is already configured

The domain wasn't added, but your username is now associated with the parked domain. You should be able to unpark it now Smiling. If successful, you'll see the following unpark confirmation:

example.com -> deleted from server-name. example.com was successfully unparked from example.com
