Here is a list of files that have been modified since Drupal version 4.7.3. New files are highlighted in blue; files that have been removed by the upgrade are highlighted in red. In cases where more files were changed than not, I add the declaration "All changed except:" and highlight the files that were NOT changed in orange. Unchanged files are not listed. I will list the directories followed by the files within them that were updated. While I've done my best to maintain their accuracy, I do not guarantee the correctness of these lists, and will not be held responsible for any problems you encounter as a result of their use. If unsure, please follow the official upgrade instructions included in your distribution's download.
The update to 4.7.4 fixes multiple cross site scripting vulnerabilities, cross site request forgeries, and form attribute injection. Visit Drupal.org for details.

did you change your .htaccess?
Hi Ann,
My file comparison shows that the .htaccess shipped with 4.7.2 and that from 4.7.4 are the same (no differences). The same goes for the 4.7.3 version. Could it be that you modified it yourself and hence you are seeing changes?

hmmm
Maybe it was an old version (4.7.0) of .htaccess then, because I had not changed it myself.
Drupal Changes to .htaccess
.htaccess has not changed for the duration of the 4.7.x series (up to 4.7.4). My guess is that Drupal changed your .htaccess file - for example, when you enable "clean URL's" it uncomments certain lines in the file.

The .htaccess file in root directory is modified as well.
